This week our school organized an activity of working in New Century Children’s Store and I think I’ve gained a lot from this experience .Before I took part in this activity , I knew nothing about what work really meant . I believed that my parents should do everything for me though they have to work hard to support the family . I even thought they were leading an easier life than me , as I had to learn so many subjects . This week I have experienced working as a shop assistant , which proved no easy job . After a day’s work , I often went back home , tired . 我家的年夜饭讲究分工合作，各司其责。母亲是总设计师，负责人员调度。父亲帮母亲打小工，负责买配菜，买调料，拿油盐酱醋、锅碗瓢盆；奶奶是总设计师的得力助手；爷爷则是烹饪几个他的拿手菜；我嘛，就负责“偷吃”，在有菜做好了后，我总以尝尝菜的咸淡，来偷吃做好的菜。
晚上七点整，我们的午夜大餐正式开始，一盘盘色香味俱全、香喷喷的饭菜端上桌来，我看得眼花缭乱。开饭喽！我狼吞虎咽的把这美味佳肴往嘴里塞。妈妈把果汁和红酒拿出来，倒在高脚杯里。我端起酒杯祝愿爸爸和妈妈———身体健康，笑口常开，工作顺利；祝愿爷爷奶奶——福如东海，寿比南山。

我怀着既期待又紧张的心情准备，在练习的过程中，英语老师为了要我适应计时铃声，控制好说完故事的时间，模拟了比赛铃声响起的各种突发状况。 当我第一次练习听到催促的铃声，我心想：“天啊！超过时间会被评审扣分！”顿时，我难过得流下伤心的眼泪。老师频频安慰我，要我心平气和熟悉比赛的气氛。
经过反覆的练习，我渐渐的适应铃声所带给我的影响，并且能驾轻就熟的把握时间，最后，我终于能在规定时间内说完故事，也得到更多的'自信。
