Good morning，everyone， I'm so glad to be here and make a presentation。 Before my presentation， i’d like to ask you some quertions。Do you know Li na，the famous tennis athlete in China？ How much do you know about her？
I am sure that many students who have watched the Australian Tennis Championship on CCTV 5 during winter break。 So today， i would like to talk about my thoughts of this game。
On January 24， Li na won over Sharapova in the women' s singles final。 This is the third time that Li na has gone into the grand slam finals。 Once again， On January 26， Li na went against a new opponent name Azarenka。 On that day of the game， Li na was in the leadin the first inning， but during the second inning， she accidently fell down twice。 People were shocked and sad about how she could not continue the game。 But because of the people being worried， she doggedly continue the game， making the audience cheer and applauding her for her effort to continue her game。 A t that time ，audience applauded foe her persistence。Although she lost the game， her hard effort and insistency moved us and motivated us。
And this case also appreaded in tthe men singles final the next day。 Two opponents named Murray and Djokovic were against each other。 Due to the game， Murray's foot had blisters that affected the way he played。 The doctor had to treat his wound with medicine。 As human beings， if we had blisters on our foot， we may feel a lot of pain and don't want to walk。 However， as an athlete， Murray had to withstand the pain and strive for the victory。
As far as I’m concerned， for professional athletes， games have become a part of their life。 They fight inthe match， fight for their dream，and enjoy thir games
As students， studying is a part of our life。I know we may be confronted with many different kinds of problems，have you ever wangted to give it up？ On the one hand， when i faced with difficulties，i felt sad and didn’t want to continue，on the other hand ，i would tell myself that：He who can sndure the greatest hardships will be the greatest among men。So to my way of thinking， on the road of studying， we need to learn how to keep ourself motivated and continue studying and learn how to make studying a better way to enjoy rather then boring ourself out。

in my 18 years of life， there have been many things。 university days are the best part of them。 i can never forget the days when i stepped into my university。 i was impressed by its garden—like campus， its enthusiastic students and especially its learning atmosphere。 i at once fell in love with it。

learning is a long process； i'll keep exploring in the treasure house of knowledge to enrich myself。 this summer i got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world。 a publishing house offered me a part—time job in compilation and revision。
at the beginning i was belittled by my colleagues。 but they were really surprised when i translated seven english articles over 5，000 words on only one day。 gradually， they began to look at me with respectful eyes。 in their opinion i turned out to be a useful and trustworthy colleague。
i also realize that only those who bring happiness for others can be truly happy。 so i often take part in activities concerning public welfare。 i once went to a barren mountain village with my classmates。 we taught the kids there who could not afford school。 while showing them how broad and how civilized the outer world is， i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn， their honesty and their purity。 i couldn't control my tears on the day when we left。 the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us， future teachers。
bessides study and social practice， there are entertainments as well。 i do body building every day， hoping to keep healthy and energetic。 we also write a play and put it on in our spare time。
campus life is the most splendid time。 but different people have different choices。 the majority of students cherish their beautiful season and cherish the hope that one day they'll become outstanding。 but there are indeed some students still under ignorance。 they gather together for eating， drinking or playing cards。 they're busy in searching for a girlfriend or a boyfriend。 they forget completely about their mission as college students and the hope of their motherland。
finally， i do hope everybody can try their best to become a worthy citizen of the country。 i do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society！

all summer long they waited for the harvests with great anxiety， knowing that their lives and the future existence of the colony depended on the coming harvest。 finally the fields produced a yield rich beyond expectations。 and therefore it was decided that a day of thanksgiving to the lord be fixed[2]。 years later， president of the united states proclaimed the fourth thursday of november as thanksgiving day every year。 the celebration of thanksgiving day has been observed on that date until today。
the pattern of the thanksgiving celebration has never changed through the years。 the big family dinner is planned months ahead。 on the dinner table， people will find apples， oranges， chestnuts， walnuts and grapes。 there will be plum pudding， mince pie， other varieties of food and cranberry juice and squash。 the best and most attractive among them are roast turkey and pumpkin pie。 they have been the most traditional and favorite food on thanksgiving day throughout the years。
everyone agrees the dinner must be built around roast turkey stuffed with a bread dressing[3] to absorb the tasty juices as it roasts。 but as cooking varies with families and with the regions where one lives， it is not easy to get a consensus on[4] the precise kind of stuffing for the royal bird。
thanksgiving today is， in every sense， a national annual holiday on which americans of all faiths and backgrounds join in to express their thanks for the year' s bounty and reverently ask for continued[5] blessings。

I am glad to be here to share my opinions with all of you. My topic today is about Internet.
With the development of technology more and more people are fond of using Internet. It is particularly popular among young people. Just like the coin has two sides internet also has its own advantages and disadvantages.
First of all the Internet has brought people great convenience in getting information entertainment and contact with each other. As for our students it is a useful tool when we meet problems. When we are tired a piece of light music will help us relax. If we have free time we can enjoy movies or interesting cartoons. What’s more we can also watch live programs on the internet or see it later if we are not available at that time.
But there is also bad influence. Some of the young teenagers are addicted to computer games and some even play games all night. Because of lacking in sleep those students can not focus on in the class . As a result they may fail in the exam. When they realize it is wrong to spend too much time playing games it’s already too late.
I have remembered such a piece of news . An excellent student flunked (考试不及格) because he could not concentrate on his study for being too indulged in computer games. He spent nearly all the money on games which was earned by his father's selling blood. When his father knelt down to beg him to return to school he was too numb to show any regret.
The most serious harm of computer games come from their contents which affects teenagers ' mental health. Many games involve violence such as fighting and killing. When they enjoy the pleasure of success a violent turn of mind is developed and rooted in them which may induce future violent behaviour in their life.
So when computers' entertaining function is highly spoken of such a problem does deserve our serious concern.
In addition long time's working before computer also does harm to health. The radiation from the computer can arose many uncomfortable feelings. like a headache poor eyesight.
At last people who are fond of making friends on line should also be careful. Many convicts use Internet as a way to cheat. Although it has many disadvantages Internet has become an indispensable part of people's life in recent years. In my point of view it’s wrong to blame Internet itself it’s all depend on the way we use it. If we use it in a right way it can be one of the best friends in our life.

Our next goal is to have a petition for “National No Name-Calling Day,” a day that the candidates don't say anything negative about one another. When our Vice President had a disagreement with a Democratic senator, he used a REALLY BAD word.
If I said that -- If I said that word, I would be put in a “time-out.”
I think he should be put in a time-out.
The last time I saw John Kerry, he grabbed my arm and said, “See you at the convention.” And here I am!
What will be even more amazing will be the inauguration in January, when we have a new President, knowing that kids have made a difference in this election.

John Kerry: American hero, next President.

Today I want to tell you something about the Nobel Prize in Literature.
As we all know, the prize was set up to reward those people who created the best works.

The 2014 Nobel Prize winner is the French writer, Patrick Modiano. He writes a lot of novels about the second world war. So his writings always have a dark color.
Except the novelist, the poet, Tomas Transtr?mer, won the 2011 Nobel Prize. He only published about 200 poems, but all of them, without exception, are the pearl of the literature.
Mo Yan is the person who have to be mentioned. He is a Chinese writer.He is described as a story teller,because the prototype of his novels always came from the times he has experienced. I think the literature is as important as physics and chemistry. As physics and chemistry creat the Material wealth, the literature is our spiritual wealth.Maybe this is why Nobel establish such a prize at first,because the literature is the best medicine to save ourselves and to promote ourselves.ideal is not a day dreaming,it is a kind of eager to do the things we really want to do.Nowadays, we are sorry to hear that more and more young people lose their interest to explore or to risk, and they only need is a stable and highpaid job.ln my opinion,this is not a right attitude towards the world.Every one should have a colorful life and i hope more and more Chinese writings can hve this honor! as we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parents’ considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. from my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts.
first of all, the complicated relationship. for one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. in addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different courses’ choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. for the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.
secondly, the temptations. the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the internet, alcohols and so on. what’s more, the college teachers won’t compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late. such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals.
thirdly, the balance between study and work. most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. but it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship betweeen them since i always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.
in conclusion, whatever issues we meet or miseries we suffer from, confront the hash reality head on, what we can do is remembering the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.
